Why I started this blog
I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a lot of time, even making two or three self-made prototypes in Django before setting up on Wordpress because of its simplicity. The reason I wanted a blog is the same I spent a lot of time modifying my prototypes: I love thinkering and making things, especially on the web. The thing is my job and the choices I made in life never made that fully possible, I always had so much to do (and so many excuses!). But in the last few weeks I’ve come to the realization that making things even if only for myself is fun as hell, even if it’ll never be my full-time job, and I can still learn so many useful things along the way!
What will I write about
Mostly the interesting stuff I come into, but also the fun little projects I will work on (which you will also find on my GitHub). This blog, just like my self-learning path, will be everything but linear. One day I will post about a Python library I found in the wild, and the next about some strange thing that happened to me or about some crazy business idea. I just want this to be a free space to share my thoughts.
Why so simple?
I spent quite some time removing stuff from one of the basic Wordpress themes to get where I am now. I wanted the reading and posting experience to be as simple as possible. I’ve grown so tired of all the fuss and useless whistles that modern websites have. I’m only 27 but I can still remember a simpler web, where pages were measured in kb instead of MB.
Anyway, welcome to my blog, I hope the experience of reading it will be as exciting as writing it is to me!
